Cose Mai Viste
Mario Giacomelli (1925-2000) was among the worlds most original and poetic photographers, known for his high contrast aerial landscapes of the Italian countryside and his moving portraits of villagers and the elderly. His many photographic series often include references to poetry, for which his photographs form a fitting and sensitive counterpart, though he did not set out to illustrate the poems but chose them afterwards to go with the pictures.
