Original cloth, spine lettered in red and white; light rubbing to tips and corners. First edition. Tokyo is the fourth of Klein’s four city books. In his preface Maurice Pinguet compares the work to that of Hokusai. ‘William Klein has created a Manga – a sudden throng of images, faces, streets, crowds, and attitudes, intense and confused, where the past merges with the future in an uproar of appearances.’
