The underlying aim is to offer an in-depth, comprehensive overview targeted at anyone interested in learning about architecture including students, professionals or simply those who are interested in the subject, by providing not only basic information but also guidance in terms of gaining more insight into the subject. The series is dedicated to some of the best known modern and contemporary architects. This volume is dedicated to Steven Holl, world famous American academic architect and watercolourist known for the Kiasma Contemporary Art Museum in Helsinki, Finland, the Simmons Hall at MIT, Cambridge, Massachusetts, The Chapel of St. Ignatius, Seattle, Washington and the Bloch Building in Kansas City, Missouri. Holl is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards, such as the RIBA International Award and the AIA National Honor Award.
