Picasso, Toros y Toreros
Picasso was fascinated by bull-fighting and befriended the renowned toreador Miguel Dominguin. Together, in 1961, they published three of Picassos sketchbooks devoted to the sport with a text by contributed by Dominguin. Picasso designed the cover art and title pages, and supervised production. The original edition, published by Abrams, has been out of print for many years, and is republished now in a glorious slip-cased edition, printed in nine-colors. A recognized art critic and historian, Georges Boudaille (1925-1991) contributed an essay to the book, which is also included here.
