The first sixteen books of this edition include original mud drawings created individually by the artist; the remaining forty-two contain reproduced drawings. There is an artist proof for both versions. Height: 13cm / Width: 57cm / Depth: 42cm Text by the artist. Each book contains records of one hundred and ten lines and seven walks, and includes twenty two leaves of text and eleven photographs by Richard Long. The inks were mixed by the artist. The leaves are mounted onto a concertina of linen and sewn with hemp by hand. The book is kept in a wooden box, branded and stamped by the artist, wrapped in natural canvas. The edition was created by Richard Long. The design was by Richard Long & Herman Lelie. The director of the edition was Elena Foster. The letterpress and lithography was by Francis Atterbury. The inner and outer boxes were done by Paul de Bock with close instruction of Richard Long. The binding was by Shepherds Bookbinders. The hand-made paper was made with straw and stones by Ruscombe Paper Mill especially for the edition and supervised by Richard Long. The edition is signed and numbered by Richard Long.
