Multidisciplinary space

Following the positive response, Ivorypress now expands its activities within Space II. In addition to exhibitions by artists who collaborate with or are represented by Ivorypress, starting in April, round tables, discussions and events that will bring together artists and curators in conversation with writers, gallery owners and professionals related to the contemporary art world will also take place. Book exhibitions will be organized by the Ivorypress Pubications Department of Ivorypress and also workshops related to books and bookbinding organized by the Ivorypress Library Department.

Subverted

Subverted is a group exhibition with artworks by Edward Burtynsky (Ontario, Canada, 1955), David Maisel (New York, USA, 1961), Nuno Ramos (São Paulo, Brasil, 1960) and Carlo Valsecchi (Brescia, Itay, 1965). The show throws a spotlight on the rapport between man and Nature, a relationship whose dynamic has been radically altered over the last few decades.

Isidoro Valcárcel Medina. ilimit

Last 14 February at 6.30 pm Ivorypress launched the Artist’s Book ilimit created by Isidoro Valcárcel Medina at Ivorypress Art + Books Space II. On the occasion of the presentation, the curator and art critic Hans Ulrich Obrist talked with Isidoro Valcárcel Medina about his œuvre.

Hannah Collins: The Fragile Feast

On 12 January 2012, Ivorypress Art + Books Space II is opening Hannah Collins: The Fragile Feast, an exhibition by the photographer Hannah Collins (London, 1956). Following a series of conversations with the founder of ElBulli on the importance of sourcing the perfect ingredients, with the maximum quality, the British artist set out on a journey through Europe, Latin America and Japan to photograph thirty of those carefully chosen ingredients from Ferran Adrià’s cuisine.
