A graduate from the Goldsmiths College of the University of London, UK, in 1990. Her work dissects the contemporary psyche and the place the individual occupies in society. Since her first solo exhibition at the White Cube in London in 1995, Taylor-Wood has had countless solo shows. In 1997 she was awarded the Illy Café prize for the most promising artist at the Venice Biennale, Italy, and was shortlisted for the Turner Prize.
