Bernard Prinz lives and works in Hamburg, Germany. He took part in documenta 8, in Kassel, Germany, and is currently professor of photography at Kassel University. His use of “unconventional” sculpture materials, such as fabrics and furniture, confers his installations and the objects he photographs with the quality of ephemeral sculptures. The predominant whiteness of his works adds to an air of innocence which is then undercut by subliminal signs of violence and decadence.
