Born in Boston, USA, Ruanne Abou-Rahme grew up in Palestine, where she continues to live today. She is an artist, photographer and filmmaker whose work examines the various space-time disjunctives brought about by exile and displacement. To this end, her photomontages and collages draw both from her own photographs and from material culled from archives or other sources. Her work has been exhibited at the Beirut Exhibition Center, Lebanon; The South Bank Centre, London, UK; and the Freies Museum, Berlin, Germany, among others.
