The Victoria and Albert Museum is housing an exhibition, entitled Blood on Paper: The Art of the Book, co-curated by Dr. Elena Ochoa Foster and Dr. Rowan Watson from 15/04/2008 - 29/06/2008.
Blood on Paper: The Art of the Book reveals the astonishing inventiveness with which the book has been treated by some of the most influential and respected artists of our time. Blood on Paper presents a selection of works from Matisse, Miró and Picasso to Anthony Caro, Damien Hirst and Anish Kapoor and includes a major new work by Anselm Kiefer. On show are beautifully bound volumes, sculptural works and installations.
The catalogue which accompanies this exhibition comprises a series of unbound concertina pages presented in a beautifully designed box. The catalogue retails at £45 and is available from the Victoria & Albert Museum shop and selected bookstores.
